Agency Description

Community Clinic of Northwest Arkansas

For over 20 years, Community Clinic has served Washington and Benton counties with quality and affordable health care. With 13 clinic sites, we are the largest safety-net health care provider in the region, and our extensive services include primary care, pediatrics, prenatal, behavioral health, dental and physical therapy. We offer services in English, Spanish, and Marshallese, and we accept Medicaid, Medicare and most other forms of insurance. A discount program is available to our patients based on income and household size, and we are dedicated to serving all in need of health care, regardless of their ability to pay. Though not required, being bilingual in Spanish or Marshallese will be a great plus.

As part of the Outreach and Development Team, the intern will help with events that promote the clinic but also help in developing the clinic. Activities may include: Maintaining social media presence; assist in planning health education programs and community advocacy activities; assist in planning and implementing prevention and wellness activities that address identified community health needs and that support clinic’s strategic imperatives and service goals and help and market special events and fundraisers during the Spring. There may be opportunities to shadow health educators as they interact with patients.
