Fayetteville Public Education Foundation, a 501c3 agency established in 1992 by dedicated alumni, parents and community members to further enhance the exceptional educational experience for which Fayetteville Public Schools are known
As a supporting foundation, we provide grants, gifts and outreach to Fayetteville Public Schools. The foundation has an endowment to provide scholarships to students and grants to teachers for innovative and pioneering programs that academically enrich our students’ education experience.
Position Description
Position: FPEF Intern
Reports to: Cambre Horne-Brooks, executive director
Provides administrative support to the Fayetteville Public Education Foundation, to include assistance with philanthropy, donor recognition, outreach and marketing, special events, program evaluation, and grant-making activities.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proper use of grammar, vocabulary, spelling, proofreading and document generation
- Proficient (moderate to advanced level)
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Google applications including Gmail, Google calendar, sheets, documents and slides
- Social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn
- Ability to deliver results within established time frames while managing multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently, excellent self-motivational skills
Essential Qualifications
- Maintain the highest confidentiality and integrity level while dealing with information about donors, sponsors and funders
- Will not allow any organizational practice, activity, decision or circumstance that is unlawful, negligent, contrary to the mission, vision or policies of the Fayetteville Public Education Foundation
- Commitment to evenings, after hours and weekends
- Demonstrates a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times
- Ensures the utilization of brand identity for the Fayetteville Public Education Foundation
- Maintains confidentiality and protects sensitive data at all times
Accountability for Results
Supervision includes:
- Assign duties and responsibilities that are appropriate to the nonprofit and fulfill the intern’s individualized learning and professional development
- Monitor the intern’s work and progress and regularly and provide feedback
- Train intern as necessary
- Evaluation of the intern’s performance
Evaluation will be conducted in a fair, respectful, rigorous and thorough manner.
