The Rogers Public Education Foundation promotes and enhances the quality of education in our community by collecting and distributing money for worthwhile academic programs — programs that would not normally be funded through conventional means. The foundation also recognizes and rewards the achievements of students and teachers in the Rogers School District.
Job Description
Intern position — flexible schedule/remote work environment. Provide the Rogers Public Education Foundation administrative support to annual giving activities, donor support, conduct prospect research and assist in the coordination of fundraising projects and special events.
Essential Job Functions
Technical
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Extreme attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Proficiency with database input and output, data segmentation and analysis with respect to fundraising and/or marketing strategies
- Experience using online and social media communication such as Twitter, Facebook, and blogs
- Proficiency in conducting online and electronic research
- Grant writing experience or interest in grant writing
Interpersonal
- Possess excellent verbal communication skills and maintain a positive, professional attitude
- Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email and Zoom to provide excellent patron services
- Must be able to handle personal and sensitive information confidentially
- Be a self-starter — anticipating needs and independently taking appropriate action
- Have an interest in community outreach, advocating for the needs of the students and teachers in the Rogers Public Schools
Organizational
- Ability to multitask, handle multiple projects at one time
- Ability to remain flexible in a rapidly changing environment
- Excellent organization skills
