Family Network’s mission is to provide individualized parenting education and support to families in NWA. Through the Healthy Families America model, FN enrolls families prenatally and offering services through the child’s third birthday. The program goals are to improve parent-child interactions and support the child’s social-emotional wellbeing, create positive family relationships, and empower new parents to develop personal, educational, and vocational skills and goals
Family Network also serves families through the Diaper Collective, a diaper bank serving NWA. Partner Agencies that work with families and children request diapers monthly that they are able to distribute to their clients. Two primary program options exist:
Home Visiting program – Main tasks would include:
- Maintain referral email account and respond to referral partners.
- Make monthly diaper requests and keep diaper area organized.
- Assist home visitors in prep and planning of home visits, i.e. activities
- Assist in planning of monthly parent groups
- Preparing educational handouts
- Handling communication and planning of event space, and those hosting the event
- During group help facilitate parent participation, and childcare
Diaper Collective – Main tasks would include:
- Help manage general operations, including diaper requests, and scheduling and conducting.
- Conduct research on diaper need locally and local diaper need effects on health for parents and children.
- Establish process to collect stories and feedback from partner agencies and individuals impacted by the diaper program.
