Responsibilities of the Administrative intern may include:

- Assisting our Administrative Assistant with answering phones (most calls are coming from the families of hospice patients, pharmacies, Washington Regional Senior Center, etc.)
- Scanning / documenting data into our EMR (Electronic Medical Record)
- Organizing our medical supply room and ordering medical supplies
- Assembling admission packets
- Covering our Hospice Home Reception Desk / providing information to hospice families
- Assisting Volunteer Program Manager with new volunteer orientation and training
- Building a database for Volunteer information
- Designing staff/volunteer monthly newsletter
- Managing online volunteer recruitment efforts
- Creating Policies and Procedures manual for our volunteer program
- We have a variety of special projects you will be able to choose to work on according to your interests and available time
- You will also have the opportunity to shadow our Program Director and our Medical Director as their availability allows.
This will be a fun internship and you will learn a lot too! If you have an interest in visiting hospice patients, you will also have that opportunity while you’re with us. (as is appropriate and allowed during the Covid-19 pandemic)
