Agency Description

The Farmington Senior Activity Center is part of the Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Arkansas. The Farmington Senior Activity center is a private, non-profit organization that has been serving seniors in Northwest Arkansas since 1979. Its programs provide a great place for seniors to meet new friends, have a hot nutritious lunch or join health and wellness activities, and other classes. Seniors can enjoy dancing, pool, bingo, quilting, card games and much more.

This center also provides regularly scheduled transportation for seniors who no longer drive and home-delivered meals to home bound seniors through the Meals on Wheels program. The Farmington center is considered a Meals on Wheels Provider, meaning that the additional funds received through the federal stimulus package allows for a range of aging service programs including Congregate Nutrition Services and Home-Delivered Nutrition Services. Some projects/initiatives that the organization participates in are fundraisers and also bringing in health professionals like doctors, chiropractors, nutritionists, and physical therapists to educate seniors in the center. This center values promoting health while also being a safe and entertaining space for all.
